Emergency garage door repair

Emergency garage door repair for homes and businesses in Northwest Arkansas

A broken spring, a door off its track or a storm hit does not wait for office hours. Here is what to do first, and how our emergency calls work.

Chapter 01

What counts as a garage door emergency

Garage door trouble does not keep regular hours, and some of it cannot wait until the next business day. A broken spring is the clearest case, because the heavy door is suddenly unsupported. A door that has come off its track can jam, hang crooked or sit in a precarious position over the opening.

Impact damage from a vehicle or equipment compromises the structure of the door. Opener failure leaves the door stuck, which matters when it is your only way into the building or the only thing securing it. Storm damage, from dents to electrical problems in the opener, rounds out the list, and in Northwest Arkansas that last one has a season.

Spring storms here bring warm air from the south into cool air from the north, and tornado season follows. Wind can blow in a door, bend its tracks and break panels or windows, leaving a garage open to the weather. If your door has taken a hit, call us at (479) 238-2493 and tell us what you see.

Four things to do before anyone arrives

Do not operate. If the door is damaged, do not try to open or close it by hand or with the opener. A door with a failed spring, a bent track or a loose cable can drop or bind without warning, and forcing it usually makes the repair bigger.

Secure the area. Keep people and pets away from the door, and use temporary barriers if the door is compromised. Park vehicles clear of the opening, and keep children out of the garage until a technician has looked at it.

Power down. If there are electrical issues or water around the opener, turn off its power at the circuit breaker, and leave it off until a technician has looked at the door.

Document damage. Take photos and video before you start any cleanup, since you will want them for insurance, and they help us come prepared when we call you back.

Chapter 03

How our emergency calls work

We are available 24/7 for emergencies, and we want you to know the terms before you call. After-hours emergency calls incur an additional fee. Dispatch depends on a technician being in or around your area, so we can tell you what is realistic when we talk to you, and we will not promise a response time we cannot keep.

Emergencies cover both homes and businesses. At a house, that might be an unresponsive opener, a broken spring or damaged cables. At a commercial building, a door that will not close affects security, deliveries and the next shift, and our team repairs commercial doors of every type. We repair all brands, and as a Clopay and LiftMaster dealer we work with parts built for the door.

For a problem that can wait, the office is open Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, and closed Saturday and Sunday. Whatever the hour, the number is (479) 238-2493, and we serve Springdale, Bentonville, Rogers, Fayetteville, Bella Vista, Cave Springs and the rest of the area.
