Each one has a tell. A broken spring leaves the door heavy or stuck a few inches off the floor. Worn rollers grind and rattle in the track. A misaligned track lets the door hang crooked or rub as it travels. Frayed cables show broken strands near the bottom brackets. A noisy door usually has dry hinges or loose hardware, and an opener that ignores the remote and the wall button may have a failed sensor, a worn drive or a power problem.

How a repair visit works
A technician diagnoses the door before touching a part. You are walked through what was found and what it will take to fix it, so you know the plan before any work starts. The goal is to restore the door correctly the first time, not to patch it and come back.

Keeping it from coming back
Most of what shortens a door's life is wear you can see coming if somebody looks at the right parts. Maintenance means checking the torsion springs, hinges and pulleys, cables and chains, tracks, panels, openers, struts and rollers, and replacing what is tired before it fails in the middle of a workday.
